These two 6th graders were the 1st students to finish their September reading log and turn it in to Mrs. Croteau! They were rewarded with free ice cream sundae coupons from Sonic in Centerville Iowa!
Last week Mr Jackson's class learned how to tie-dye shirts. They learned a few tying techniques, tied their own shirt and choose the dye colors. They wore the shirts on their Jamboree float.

📖 Elementary September Reading Challenge! 📖
Moulton-Udell Elementary is kicking off a fun way to keep young readers motivated this month. Students are encouraged to read a book (or a chapter) and color an apple on their reading chart. When the chart is full, they’ll earn a small prize or a Sonic treat—just one more way we’re building a love of reading!
Finished charts can be turned in to Mrs. Croteau in the Elementary Library by the end of September. Let’s see how many apples we can color as we grow our Eagle readers!

Fresh tomatoes made their way into Mr. Jackson’s 5th grade classroom and inspired a science demonstration. 🍅 Students learned how batteries work by creating a tomato battery that powered a small LED clock, and even measured the electrical current with a microampere meter. Great job bringing science to life, Mr. Jackson!

Junior High football is about to kick off! 🏈 Practice for the new season begins soon, and we're looking forward to seeing our athletes on the field.
Practices are scheduled for August 20-23. The school will provide transportation, leaving the school at 3:00 pm and returning at 6:00 pm each day the first week. Students need to have a current physical to participate.

Attention all future volleyball players There will be a mandatory meeting for all students interested in playing junior high volleyball on August 25 during school.
The first practice will be on Wednesday, August 27 from 4:00-5:15 p.m.
Before your child can participate, they must have a current physical and a signed concussion form.
