While Mr. Ogden is already a familiar face at Moulton-Udell, we’re excited to reintroduce him as he steps into a new role this school year!
A lifelong Eagle, Jason has dedicated more than 20 years to Moulton-Udell as an elementary and junior high teacher, and coach. This year, he begins a new chapter as our PK–12 Principal and Co-Athletic Director, where he’s excited to work alongside our staff to continue making positive changes for our students and school community.
Outside of school, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors, attending his children’s activities with his wife, Sarah, and relaxing at home with their two dogs, Ivy and Yadi. Fun fact: growing up, he always thought he’d become a farmer- proof that life sometimes has different plans!
If he could have dinner with anyone, it would be legendary basketball coach Roy Williams, whose values of hard work, dedication, family, and respect have always inspired him.
Congratulations, Mr. Ogden! We’re grateful for your continued dedication to Moulton-Udell and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make in your new role. 💙🦅

STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Please help us congratulate Andie Lawson as she steps into a new role at Moulton-Udell!A proud Moulton-Udell graduate, Andie has been a part of this community for nearly her entire life. After beginning her teaching career in 1998, she joined M-U in 1999 and has spent more than 25 years in the classroom. This year, Andie will serve as our Elementary Dean of Students. She’s excited to help foster a positive school culture by encouraging students to make positive choices, and celebrate the great things happening in our classrooms each day. Outside of school, Andie enjoys spending time with her family (including her six grandchildren) exercising, volunteering in the community, and helping preserve local history through the Moulton Historical Museum. If she could have dinner with anyone, it would be her grandparents, so she could hear more of their stories- she promises to be a better listener this time around!
Congratulations, Andie, on this exciting new chapter!

Help us welcome Addison Westercamp back to Moulton-Udell! A 2017 M-U graduate, Addison returns in a full-circle moment as our PK-12 Physical Education teacher, assistant athletic director, and coach. Through experiences teaching students from PK-12 in schools of all sizes, she’s developed a passion for helping students grow and is excited to bring new ideas to PE while helping students build lifelong healthy habits.
Returning to Moulton-Udell felt like an easy decision after being inspired by the teachers, coaches, and mentors who shaped her own experience, and she’s excited to do the same for the next generation of Eagles!
Outside of school, she enjoys coaching, working out, and cooking/baking. Addison’s most interesting travel experience: On her first cruise earlier this year, she explored Bimini by golf cart… until it was stolen and turned into a seven-mile walk back (with the keys still in hand 😅).
Welcome back to Eagle Nation, Addison! 💙🦅

Help us welcome Jerri Bettis to Moulton-Udell CSD! Jerri joins us with 27 years of experience in education and will be teaching 7th & 8th grade English along with 9–12 special education this school year.
Originally from Davis City, Iowa, Jerri earned her bachelor’s degree from William Penn and her master’s degree from the University of Iowa. After spending the last two years in a larger district, she’s excited to return to her roots in a small school environment where relationships and community matter.
Outside of school, Jerri enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, and making memories with her family. Fun fact: she has a photographic memory and even helps run a family business creating handmade crappie lures!
We’re excited to have her join Eagle Nation—welcome, Jerri! 💙🦅

Help us welcome our newest member of Eagle Nation- Kelsey Drake!
Kelsey is originally from Wilton, Iowa and she is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She has always valued a small-town, family-oriented community and immediately felt that Moulton reflected that same close-knit feel.
This year, Kelsey will be teaching 4th grade and is most excited about getting to know her students, building a positive classroom environment, and making learning fun throughout the year.
Outside of school, Kelsey enjoys playing in sand volleyball leagues and tournaments during the summer, going to country concerts with friends, and relaxing with a good book. A fun fact: in college she played volleyball and competed in every position on the court—from libero to middle!
We’re excited to have her join Eagle Nation—welcome, Kelsey! 💙🦅

Help us welcome our newest member of Eagle Nation- Angie Sagan!
Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Angie is a proud Iowa State University graduate, with a strong background in education, including experience as a math teacher, elementary counselor, and college advisor.
After many years working in larger districts, she and her husband are excited to begin a new chapter further south near Lake Thunderhead and become part of a close-knit community. Angie will be teaching 9–12 Math this year and is especially excited to return to her math roots by helping students experience those “lightbulb” moments in learning.
Outside of school, she enjoys kayaking, biking, reading, and spending time with her grandkids. A fun fact: Angie’s first year of teaching was spent on Oahu, Hawaii—an unforgettable experience right after getting married!
We’re excited to have her join Eagle Nation—welcome, Angie! 💙🦅

What a nice day for a walk uptown with our 5th graders! We enjoyed complimentary ice cream cones from T & L. Thank you Linda!
