Activities this week!

📚✨ Big cheers for our amazing elementary students at Moulton Udell School! ✨📚
We are so proud of all the students who completed their March reading logs! 🎉 Watching these kids stay committed to reading each day has been so exciting and encouraging.
Reading logs are such a great way to build strong habits, grow imagination, and help students become confident readers. Every page read is a step toward learning, creativity, and success—and these students are doing an incredible job! 📖💡
Keep up the great work, everyone! We love seeing your dedication and are so proud of each and every one of you. Let’s keep the reading fun going! ❤️👏

🎲✨ Board Game Week Fun at Moulton Udell Elementary! ✨🎲
Our elementary students (5th grade and under) had an amazing time in the library during Board Game Week! Students were invited to bring their favorite games from home, and it was so fun to see the variety they shared with one another.
Throughout the week, students enjoyed not only playing games, but also learning important skills along the way. Board games help build critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and patience. They also encourage good sportsmanship, taking turns, and following directions—all while having fun!
It was wonderful to watch students socialize, make new friends, and work together. Laughter filled the library as they learned through play and created special memories.
Thank you to all the students who participated and brought games to share. It was a fantastic week full of learning, connection, and FUN! 🎉👏

We had some visitors from the Bridge Church yesterday in 2nd and 3rd grade classes! The Bridge Church was given a generous donation to help MU students in need. The Bridge worked with Brown’s shoes in Centerville to size all 2nd grade students with a new pair of shoes. Just in time for spring! The new shoes will be coming home with students in May!

Baby chicks hatched in the preschool room!!

TOMORROW - Monday, March 23rd, join the Moulton-Udell choir and band for a Variety Show & Pasta Supper at 6pm in the old gym. Free will donation & great entertainment!

Our senior basketball players took the court this past Saturday for the conference Senior Game! It was an incredible afternoon celebrating the hard work, talent, and sportsmanship of these athletes as they suited up one final time. A huge THANK YOU to Moravia Community Schools for hosting this event.

Our 7th-10th grade students took their learning on the road last Friday! After meeting the teams from M3 Fabrication and Metal Wholesale during our Career Day last fall, we decided it was time to see the action up close. By touring their facilities in Bloomfield and West Grove, our students were able to bridge the gap between classroom presentations and real-world application. It was an incredible opportunity for them to see the precision, technology, and hard work that goes into the metal fabrication industry right here in our community. A huge thank you to both businesses for opening your doors and inspiring our future workforce!

No School tomorrow, it will be a virtual learning day. PK-6 students will do Snow Day Packet 1. 7-12 students check your email and google classroom.

🧱📚 LEGO Week in the Elementary Library! 🎉
This week in the elementary library we’re celebrating LEGO Week, and the excitement has been building—literally! Our students have been using their creativity and imagination to design, build, and explore with LEGOs.
While it’s incredibly fun, LEGO building is also a powerful educational tool. Working with LEGOs helps students develop important skills such as:
✨ Problem-solving and critical thinking
✨ Creativity and imagination
✨ Fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination
✨ Teamwork and collaboration
✨ Perseverance as they test, adjust, and rebuild
Students are challenged to think like engineers and designers as they plan their builds and bring their ideas to life. It’s amazing to watch their confidence grow as they create something unique and share it with their classmates.
The library has been filled with laughter, teamwork, and some pretty impressive LEGO creations this week! We love seeing our students learning through play and discovering just how creative they can be.
Stay tuned—we may have some future architects and engineers in the making! 🧱✨
