The 5th and 6th grade classes went on our field trip to Des Moines yesterday. We visited Terrace Hill and the Iowa State Capitol. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. All of our tour guides were very knowledgeable and complimented us on how great a group of kids we had!

Miss Deahl’s AFNR class recently wrapped up a unit on injection methods in livestock!💉🐮

Today, they were able to put their knowledge to the test and practice giving intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous injections, and learn about needle safety! The used a sponge (muscle), felt (hair/skin), and a straw filled with red dye (vein/blood) to practice intravenous and intramuscular, used a banana to practice intramuscular, and an orange to practice subcutaneous!

The Class of 2026 are having a great time on their Senior Class trip! We have been to The Royal Gorge and the summit of Pikes Peak via the Cog Railroad. We drove through Garden of the Gods and walked the sidewalks of Cripple Creek. Hiked some of the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and the first day in CO we had lunch at Casa Bonita in Denver. We are enjoying the 40 acres of our wonderful Airbnb at 9,00 ft above sea level. We are looking forward to our last day tomorrow at Mt Princeton Hot Springs!
